What is wisesantasdeputies.org? Wise Santa’s Deputies is a nonprofit 501 (c)(3) organization composed mostly of members of the Wise County Sheriff’s Office but greatly supported by fund raising and the generosity of the citizens of Wise County! The unique thing about our organization is most of the families we provide for do not know we are coming. These families are identified by deputies as well as Child Protective Services, schools, churches and others during the day to day operation of ensuring safety for the community. Donated items are provided to the citizens of Wise County to help those in need who may have fallen on hard times through-out the year. Our goal is to provide toys for children, warm clothing, and combat hunger during the Christmas season. All proceeds benefit families of Wise County. Last year we received enough donated food we were able to help an additional 400 families and donate our abundance to local food pantries. Monetary donations are used for most needed items which changes from year to year. One year we had a great need for coats. Often children need socks and shoes or other basic clothing. In addition to providing food and toys for the children, the families served are also provided information on how and where to obtain assistance in the future days. It’s not just about Christmas to us. It’s about the citizens of Wise County’s 923 square miles of friends and neighbors helping friends and neighbors through hard times!
